“Unmapped Wild” - This piece captures the raw, kinetic energy of a safari—where tangled verdant greens meet the heat of sun-scorched ochres and dappled light.

This is the sound of cognitive freedom which Tong En calls an "Unmapped Safari"—a journey into the subconscious where there are no rules, no spelling, and no boundaries. The lush, wild and organic palette invite the viewer to get lost in a territory where the only map is the artist's uninhibited imagination. It is the visual record of a mind finally set free.

“ Shape ” - For a dyslexic mind, the alphabet is often a cage. In Shape, Tong En performs a brilliant act of "Typographic Deconstruction." By isolating and reimagining the structural curves of the letters C, K, and B, she strips them of their power to confuse and replaces it with the power to inspire.

This is a visual manifesto on cognitive resilience: it represents her journey of turning "learning obstacles" into "dynamic opportunities."

To own Shape is to own a conceptual milestone in the history of neurodivergent art.

A thundering, maximalist rebuttal to isolation. Happy bursts with expressive colors and abstract shapes designed to evoke feelings of uninhibited joy and freedom. The composition utilizes Pareidolia—a vibrant ambiguity that encourages personal interpretation. Within its layers, viewers may discover the regal plume of a peacock or the smiling faces of new friends; each encounter becomes a unique experience with the essence of happiness. It is a multi-sensory record of one who has reclaimed her world and her voice.

In Erupting Volcano, Tong En captures the raw power of nature using minimalistic black and white tones, enhanced by dynamic splashes of paint. The bold contrast and textured strokes convey both the intensity and calm of volcanic landscapes, offering a striking balance between simplicity and eruptive energy.

These four panels act as a modular landscape, bridging the gap between the terrifying power of an eruption and the silent, ash-covered peace that follows. It is a reminder that the most beautiful landscapes are often formed by the greatest heat.

Measurements: 12 x 18 inches | Medium: Acrylic on Canvas | Year: 2024

“Golden Koi” - A departure into the ethereal, focusing on the "Chroma of Tranquility." Tong En utilizes mossy greens and vertical "light-drips" through water to simulate the experience of looking into a pond. The sweeping gold gestures are not literal fish, but calligraphic signatures of perseverance. This piece reflects the profound peace Tong En found once she stepped away from the "noise" of traditional schooling to find her own rhythm. It is a meditation on luck, survival, and the beauty of moving at one's own pace.

Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm | Dimensions: Mixed medium on canvas

A sophisticated study of the friction between structural order and chaotic release. In this work, “Shattered” Tong En integrates geometric wooden fragments—physical "artifacts of reality"—suspended within a digital-age storm of cobalt and crimson. It explores the sensation of a world out of balance, yet held together by the artist's decisive, gestural lines. It is a study of the human psyche: fragmented by the pressures of society, yet vibrantly connected by the will to create.

A young girl with glasses and long dark hair sits cross-legged on the floor, holding a colorful abstract painting in front of her. The background is plain white.

THE ARTIST

When Words Faded, Colour Roared.

Tong En does not paint to decorate; she paints to define. Once silenced by the rigid boundaries of dyslexia, she found her voice in the fluid logic of abstraction. This is the Reclaimed Narrative. By distilling a world of chaotic text into a refined symphony of color, she has transformed a perceived challenge into a masterful new dialect. Every brushstroke is more than paint—it is a visceral triumph of expression over silence
